Meram City and Life Culture Museum is located by Meram Municipality in the Dutlu Kır region, one of the distinguished locations of the city. Our museum, which started to serve in May 2024, consists of three parts designed with reference to the traditional architectural texture of the city. In the first part, there are two houses, life (courtyard), cookhouse, outbuildings, corral, latrine, haystack, store and administrative units in the courtyard.
In the houses here, the city and the culture of life in Meram are described. In a total of eight rooms in both houses, social and communal life as well as household life is exhibited through architecture, decoration, home textiles, ethnographic materials and sculptures suitable for the period.
In the second area, we have a garden equipped with fruit trees unique to Meram and an experience area where we have workshops on our traditional cuisine. In the third area, we have a vineyard with the vegetables of Meram along with grape pushtas.
In addition to the Exhibition Areas, we will continue to keep our culture alive and transfer it to future generations with our activities diversified with Traditional Konya Food Training, Traditional Handicraft Workshops, Konya Barana and Meram Talks.
Our museum accepts visitors between 09.30-17.30 except Mondays.
